High Nobility was not only a horse — he was presence, character, and quiet strength. This piece is created from one of the photographs that have stayed with me through the years, an image I have returned to time and time again. From that same series, another work was also born. It also serves as an example of commissioned portrait work.
Executed in pastel with a watercolor background, in the technique that defines much of my work, this piece moves between softness and power — between memory and form.
